Carole Bigler and Valery Lloyd-Watts
Alfred Author-Carole Bigler

Piano pedagogue and lecturer Carole L. Bigler was coordinator of the Master's Degree program in Suzuki Piano Pedagogy at Ithaca College, New York prior to her death in 2009. She presented seminars worldwide on the psychology of learning, piano pedagogy and the Suzuki method. She also published articles in Clavier Magazine, the American Suzuki Journal and Suzuki World Magazine. 		Alfred Author-Valery Lloyd-Watts

Valery Lloyd-Watts began performing at age 12 with the Vancouver Youth Orchestra in Vancouver, British Columbia. At 19 she was invited by the BBC to perform the world premiere of the Fricker Toccata for Piano and Orchestra with the Liverpool Philharmonic. Ms. Lloyd-Watts earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin, where she studied the Suzuki approach to early music education.

Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield teaches piano, piano ensemble, pedagogy and technique at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. She also maintains an independent studio in Princeton, New Jersey. Her award-winning students have performed concertos with several orchestras. Clarfield has given master classes, lecture-recitals and pedagogy workshops throughout the United States and Canada. Her articles have been published in Keyboard Companion, The American Music Teacher, and Clavier.

Jane Magrath
Alfred Author-Jane Magrath

Jane Magrath is well known as an author, clinician, and pianist. Her book The Pianist's Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literature has become a classic reference work for pianists throughout the United States. Dr. Magrath's work in the area of the standard classical teaching literature has been central to the revival of interest in this music throughout the country. She currently has more than 50 volumes published with Alfred Music Publishing, and her music editions are used widely throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Lynn Freeman Olson
Alfred Author-Lynn Freeman Olson

Lynn Freeman Olson was a prolific composer of music for keyboard study and classroom use. With degrees from the University of Minnesota, Mr. Olson traveled across the U.S. each year presenting workshops and clinics for conventions, teacher groups and school systems prior to his death in 1987.

Catherine Rollin
Alfred Author-Catherine Rollin

A noted composer, Ms. Rollin has been commissioned by Clavier magazine, the Music Teachers National Association and the Michigan Music Teachers Association. Several of her compositions have been selected for the NFMC Festivals Bulletin. She has served as a judge on the national level for the MTNA Student Composition Competition and the Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Contest. Ms. Rollin has been a featured soloist with numerous orchestras, and is an active chamber musician in the Detroit area.
